September 8, 1974 |
Elad is born at the Belinson Hospital in Petach Tikva. He is the first born son to his parents, who lived in Givat Shmuel, Israel. He is also the first grandson to both pairs of grandparents. | ||
1975 |
The family moves to Kiron. | ||
| Elad attends Kindergarten in Givat Shmuel. | |||
November 30, 1977 |
Eyal, Elad's brother, is born. Elad is transferred to Kindergarten in Kiron. | ||
1980 |
Elad enters Elementary School in Kiron. | ||
1981 |
Elad moves to Ra'anana with his family and enters second grade. He also starts attending Erika Landau's special program for gifted children, affiliated with the Tel Aviv University. | ||
1983 |
Elad's father's job takes the family to Singapore for two years. Elad's talent is highly noticeable. He is the only one exempted from taking ESL courses (English as a Secondary Language) at the American School in Singapore. He takes advanced math courses. | ||
September 5, 1984 |
Ephrat, sister to Elad and Eyal, is born in Singapore. | ![]() |

1985 |
The family returns to Israel from Singapore, taking the opportunity to travel through Australia, Hawaii, the US and England, a trip Elad enjoys to its full extent. | ||
1985 |
Elad enters 5th grade in Ra'anana. | ||
| Elad skips the 6th grade and enters Junior High, which he attends for two years. | |||
1988 |
Elad enters Handasaiim High School in Tel Aviv, which is affiliated with the Tel Aviv University. | ||
1989 |
For a first job, Elad takes upon himself to rewrite a software program used for recording and administrating results at athletic competitions. Elad starts working with the Israeli Athletics Federation on weekends, with his computer processing data at marathons, triathlons and other sport competitions. | ||
| At age 16, while still a high school student, Elad starts attending Tel-Aviv University as a Mathematics and Computer Science student in a special program for talented young mathematicians. | |||
| Elad simultaneously works towards his High School graduation, takes classes at Tel Aviv University. At the same time, Elad and four friends establish ClassX, start-up software company. Elad takes part in the development of the world first Internet Phone. A short while later, ClassX is acquired by VocalTec. | |||
February 1993 |
Elad receives his B.Sc. degree (with Honors) in Mathematics and Computer Science from Tel-Aviv University. | ||
| Elad joins the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) and serves for 5 years in the Intelligence Corps, where he reaches the rank of Senior Academic Officer. | ![]() |

Elad receives the "Col. Uzi Yairi Memorial Award for Creative Thinking" from the Chief of IDF Intelligence. | ||
| Reut and Elad meet in the Army and become friends. They are inseparable. | ![]() |

| Elad completes his Military service. He returns to VocalTec as manager of the Core Technology Group. | ![]() |

Reut surprises Elad with a trip to London to celebrate his 25th birthday. | ![]() |

Elad makes plans for a special dinner, to be held on Sept. 28, where he plans to propose marriage to Reut. | ||
September 25, 1999 |
Elad and Reut are tragically killed in a car accident on the Bik'aa Road in the Jordan Valley. | ||
| Elad is still getting the recognition and acknowledgment on his work and technological achievements during his life. Elad was awarded the prestigious Israel Security Award. The award was given to Elad for the design and implementation of a sophisticated infrastructure project for the Israeli Intelligence force that is today the foundation of many activities and programs. Elad thought and built the project against all the difficulties and obstacles he had to face along the way. The award was given in a ceremony honored by the presence of the President Mr. Ezer Weizman and his wife, the Prime Minister Mr. Ehud Barak and the Chief of the IDF General Staff LTG. Shaul Mofaz. |
